Alright, people: Let's get over today's loss

Today's loss hurts like hell, but it's 1 of 162. The bullpen is gonna blow some of these. The starters may blow a few of these, and the offense might be AWOL for some of these. But they're gonna win their share of these games too. Let's get over the shock and look ahead to Wednesday. We're 0-1, not 0-162.

I agree. I wouldn't be as upset if we just flat out lost today, but there's no reason for this type of collapse.

Oh well, we better win on Wed.

when u have a 7-3 lead in the 9th inning u have to believe ur gonna win.....until the Sox prove to me they can finish a game I don't think they can win.

I agree 100%...I think there were a lot of positives today. The offense was great. Konerko looked like the same guy who murdered the ball the 1st half of 2002. And Ozzie is not playin around. He's gonna be agressive and really put the pressure on the other team this year. You know Ozzie is for real when Konerko steals a base...

Let's not be a nay-sayer after 1 game. Like I said, this stings like hell, but it's a game. It's not like it was a playoff game. If we all get worked up like this for every game, you'll see alot of Sox fans who might drop dead from the shock.

:o :o :banghead :headshake :banghead :crying :fight :stick :huh I just got home.....Damn. We f***ing suck to start the year every year. I'm glad now that I had baseball practice....

I agree the sox would have been better off losing 10-0 than losing like this these are games that can affect a team for the rest of the season :bang :bringit :fyou

I agree with ya man. Carlos having a solid day and konerko looking back to what he was and what we expect from him is great. It wasn't such a terrible overall game, just till that last inning when everything got shot to s***. Lets hope for a better outcome on Wens and the sox kick the crap out of the Royals.

I know we have 161 left, but it is games that slip away like this that make you mad. I hope we can return the favor some time later in the season :bringit

We know our hitting's there, the defense (save for Buerhle's miscue in the 2nd) is okay, & our starting pitching was effective. The bullpen will just have to come around. We need to give it time to gel.

Like an old saying in baseball..." You win 60 you lose 60, it's those other 42 that make the difference." Now let's get a win tomorrow.

IT'S ONE GAME!!!!

THEY CAN COME BACK ON WEDNESDAY!!!!

uh one problem...... this was one of those 42. the 42 are the games that are close.

let's split the series! (i said we'd split in ynot anyway!)

I'm not really worried, the offense looked good, Buehrle looked good, and it's still only one game. If the bullpen blows wednesdays i'll start to worry.

as much as this loss bothers me, I'm slowly getting over it. The more I think about it, the more I feel better. We looked very solid for 8.5 innings, bring on wednesday!

Let's hope nerves don't get to Politte, Koch or Marte next time they come into da 9th against the Royals. A lot of positives to come out of today though, Buerhle looked good, deserved the win, and our offence did a good job. 7 runs should be enough to win A LOT of ballgames.

It's not the best way to start a season, but what are ya gonna do? Pollitte looked good until he ran out of gas, I am not going to worry about Marte, and hopefully Ozzie will learn from this. The Yankees got shelled by the Rays their first game, it happens. It's just too bad this had to happen against the Royals.
