personaly, i think that frank used to be one of the greatest hitters in baseball, ever.... he has been slow after his inguries, but last year was a GREAT movement towards his privious form.... i think he is amazing and will always be my favriote player

yeah, same here... i was about 5 years old or something.... started liking frank in 1991... no one in califiornia understands why im a sox fan, then i tell em about frank and they stop tryin to convert me to an angels or dodgers fan

He was my favorite for the when I was born to 2001, then 2002 a not so great year and well, other players caught me by surprise and now I have other favorites.

Frank Thomas is the greatest hitter to put on a Sox uniform since Shoeless Joe Jackson. And he may be greater.

I am very gratified by the poll results -

 

I voted for this one, cause it pretty much sums up my feelings for the big guy:

 

"he is ok, I could see him go or stay and not really care much"

 

Frank was my favorite player for the Sox until the contract things came up a few times. At that point, Buehrle came to the big leagues and pretty much took over as my favorite Sox player. I really have no problem with Frank, I think he's a hall of famer, great player, but I just can't understand the contract b****ing that always seems to happen at the wrong times.

Seein Frank Thomas in the 90's definitely helped me decide to become a White Sox fan. I don't think he deserves a 4 year contract at all e.g look at guys like Fred McGriff now. I like the attitude Ozzie's takin to it as well, doesn't giv a s*** bout it, unless Frank starts b****in in the clubhouse bout it, then there will be a problem.
