April 20, 200421 yr I just read on White Sox Interactive that Kelly Wunsch is supposed to come off the DL this week. Here's the question: Who gets sent down? I like the way Adkins and Cotts have pitched, and if you ask me the only one that deserves to get his ass shipped out of her is Koch. CWSOX45

At least give the guy a shot, its the least that could happen. His stuff has looked better this year and he's always had a great attitude. Count me in the camp that thinks Wunsch stays down for a while. However, I Think he will be back up within a week. First I think they want to see whether Wright will stick in the rotation or if Cotts will move up and then Wunsch will come up and become the lefty specialist. If thats the case then I see the Sox doing this: Cotts to the rotation, Wright to the pen, Adkins to the minors (or Tagatsu, who I happen to thnk will be pretty good for us), and then Wunsch as the lefty specialist to go with Damaso).

Not one bad game. 13 bad months and counting. I love the guys attitude and all, but his attitude doesn't close games. The guy just doesn't have IT anymore.

April 20, 200421 yr He was hitting 95 this season, as high as 97 on a few pitches. Not quite 100 and his command and mechanics are a bit improved. Im' going to take last year as a bit of an abberition. Usually I don't do it, but for a guy that was a solid closer his entire career, he's semi earned it. Paulie has a clean slate and so does BK in my book thus far. I'm not really for sending any of them down. Adkins has pitched solid, Cotts has too and Tagatsu, who I like, pitched very good his last outing in Tampa. However, Tagatsu could use a little time in AAA if hte Sox wanted to, soley to let him get some consistent work in and work on his control. The guy was as low as 61 or 63 in Tampa and as high as 88....thats freaking nasty.

Figgins has played two games this year at shortstop. HE hasn't been amazing their, but did make a webgem a few nights ago.

And second, I don't see Kenny wanting to send down the one million dollar man down to AAA so fast.

I agree with you I was really excited about Koch until that outing against KC, but I'm also not ready to give up on him. But maybe the sox will keep kelly down in the minors until danny's next start, and if he pitches poorly again, maybe we'll move cotts in the rotation, and send danny down and groom him as a closer.
April 20, 200421 yr FWIW, regarding shipping Kelly out of here... I'd also take Mark Bellhorn...he's not great, but he can play every IF position quite well and has a little power from the LH side of the plate, along with some patience at the plate as well.

April 20, 200421 yr That's what I'm hping for cause I want Cotts in the rotation but that's just me. Regarding to Jas' post on the proposed pickups, I would not mind having Figgins here. He has shown he can hit and play solid D. Almazega would be perfect for an ideal leadoff. Swich hitter, has speed (which can compliment Willie) etc.. but he has to hit better. He is really struggling in AAA even though he can take walks (4 wlks with 4 [now 7] k's) He has a s***load of potential though which a chnge of scenery could do wonders for him like it's doing for Uribe so far. Same here I want Neal in the rotation, and I think it will happen soon enough.

He wont be there tomarrow, they said he'll be off the DL this week, which may not be till friday, plus he will need to rehab. If he does come back as a sock he wont come back till may
