Jordan4life_2007
I'll never forgive him for the Ritchie trade. But all his moves this past off-season are workin out beautifully. Uribe, Perez, and Shingo have been great. Letting Alomar go to open up a spot for Willie was another great move. And so far the trade for Schoenweis has been a steal. If I can bash him, I can certainly give him credit. Great job, Kenny
CWSGuy406
Jordan, I want that sig, it rocks and I love it! The only thing it's missing is Ozzie, but it's awesome. I have to agree. For all the bashing that some people do on Kenny, they don't point out all of the good he's done for this team.
BridgeportHeather
The difference here is Ozzie. Ozzie seems to get the best of the players. KW's moves were made to look bad in the previous years, because JM didn't know how to get the best from his players. Ozzie and KW combined are going to bring a lot of Soxcess to this ballclub over the next several years. To a great partnership in KW and Ozzie! MurcieOne
I think he tries to put square pegs in round holes sometimes... but i love the make-up of this team. I am glad some people are getting in the kw corner... but dont back track in a few months if things dont go our way... im taking down names... posters beware. lol
Texsox
He plays small ball really well. When he swings for the fences, he seems to have problems. Overall, he's doing fine. He's lined up the talent to win the division, from there it's 95% the player's responsibility and maybe 4% for the manager. I'm not a big believer in luck. whitesoxin'
He's a good gm Correction: He is a GREAT GM. I can't believe how great this offseason turned out to be so far after all of us had some to many doubts about this club. And look, they're tied for the best record in the American League! The Beast
Its not KW its Ozzie. Yeah he added a few guys but ozzie has spiced up the lineup with his schemes...
Rowand44
Its not KW its Ozzie. Yeah he added a few guys but ozzie has spiced up the lineup with his schemes... Right beastly, because Uribe, Shingo and Shoney have done nothing this year. I know shoney was acquired in a trade last year, but Kenny and ozzie both kept faith in the guy and gave him a spot in the rotation even after a terrible spring. Even if you think it's all because of ozzie, who hired him?

And that was before Ozzie was part of the equation.

And that was before Ozzie was part of the equation. That is a very good point. I believe KW is a very solid GM. The thing I like most about KW is he is aggressive and not scared to take a chance. Yes some of his deals didn't workout very well...David Wells, Todd Ritchie and a few others but damn the ones he has gotten that have worked out are most excellent. Olivo, Schoney, Colon , Shingo. KW still gets out there trying to make a winner out of this team. For that I am most happy with him. Every GM loses in some deals but it would be worse if he never made moves. aboz56
I am really tired of all of this talk about how great Ozzie is (especially from Hawk "my head is up Ozzie's ass" Harrelson). Not to take away anything from him, I like the guy, I like him as our manager, but the players play the game, not the manager. As long as he keeps a positive attitude and doesn't do anything stupid, we have a shot to win the division. To me, a great manager is someone who doesn't overexert himself...When a guy overexerts himself, that is when you run into problems (AKA Manuel giving Garland the hook all the damn time). And if we don't win the division this year, KW should be fired.
cwsox
KW certainly seems to be getting better (more experienced) in his job, which is good, there is a learning curve and he is on it, some GMs never get it
SnB
I've always been a big backer of KW. Sure he's made some mistakes (ritchie, etc.....) But most of his moves has been quality, either paying off now or later. He's TRYING to win, unlike some GM's out there.

Chisoxfn
I think a big part of it is that KW and Ozzie seem to be on the same page and have an understanding of the type of guys Ozzie wants. Ozzie may not have all his type of players but Kenny does what he can under his resources to get guys that Ozzie can utilize. We know I've been a KW backer for a while, so no point in taking my name Mark, lol

Rex Kickass
Hey, if we're competitive and doing well, I love everyone in the organization Seriously though, its nice to see a GM being aggressive like KW, with motivated managers in the clubhouse like Ozzie and Kenny making good choices too, its the difference between an 83 win season and a 90 win season.
