Politte

His ERA must be over 6 now. Every outing it seems he gives up a run. I dunno about him. :huh

It's up to 6.92 -- Baj could do that.

That's pathetic.

I think its time to let Politte take a hike. Either that or they need to maybe teach him something off speed.

I really liked the pick up of Cliff, I thought it was a solid move, but doesnt look like it is paying off. I still think he can come around though.

ditto

Ick...reminds me of Rick White II

Ya damn right he will.. :headbang

Now would be nice. I was underwhelmed by him from day 1 with us but thought he'd come back a bit from an injury-related year last season. I thought the pickup was a decent move at the time but I get more nervous seeing him come out of the pen than anyone right now.

I thought losing Gordon was the biggest blow to the team in the offseason. I never worried much about the rest, but I'm a big believer in that solid bullpens compensate for average rotations and offense.

I thought Politte was going to be decent, not as good as Gordon, but also nowhere as bad as he is now. I say give him another month otherwise look to make another move. The void left when Gordon left may be a bigger problem than our current 5 spot issue.

Politte has me worried too, 1st month he looked fine continuin his good form from spring training, but lately he just doesn't look the same. I still giv him at least a month to turn it around though.

The ugliest thing about this game for me was not The Moose and Morneau's homers--it was Cliff Politte. It looked to me like he gave up long before the inning was over...

Granted Takatsu is unproven, but right now he has been equal to Flash, and is costing the Sox much less.

Perhaps Politte was supposed to be Flash's replacement, but it turns out Zero has done a much better job.

Doesn't Politte hav a $1.5 million option for next season as well? :o

He's struggling. But it's not like we can just yank him and put somebody else in his spot. Gotta let him try and get out of his funk.
