June 13, 200421 yr Damn, the way the "Big Four" have pitched this last time around is scary bad. Buehrle did settle down, but still gave up 6 earned, and the O bailed him out. I really hope this is just one bad turn in the rotation and not a preview of what's coming. Giving up 6,10,5,and 6 earned runs respectively is not good for a staff that was so good the first couple months of the season.
June 13, 200421 yr yup, ive been worried too... maybe they all just kinda hit a small rut at the same time? i hope
June 13, 200421 yr Yeah - hopefully everyone got their bad start out of their systems... BTW - I think when most people say 'We need a fifth starter', they mean more like a number three - a Freddy Garcia type.
June 13, 200421 yr it's the atmosphere of late in chicago! i know it cant account for everything, but the balls do seems to be flying a lot farther and better lately for both teams. High scoring games all around, not just against our guys.

They were due to cool off a bit after a really awesome month of pitching. They're gonna be just fine.
June 13, 200421 yr Pitching is just like hitting. You're gonna go through a few slumps during a 162 gm schedule. Lets just hope it's not a long one.
