discuss i say no cause sushi is not baseball food. hotdogs, brats, burgers and pizza are baseball food

I guess it would please the vegetarians. ;)

I pointed this out in the chat.

Seattle has sushi because there is a large population of Asians living within the city. While it would certainly be welcomed at the cell, I just don't picture many Sox fans passing Hotdogs/nachos/churros over SUSHI.

Shingo is the man but lets not get carried away.

I brought this up and I definately think we should. Come on Shingo's Sushi? Who doesn't want that?

I agree 100%.

Chicagoans are not Seattleans.

Chicagoans love their hot dogs, nachos, and fried food.

Because only Asians eat sushi?

It may be a little higher end, but there are sushi restaurants all over the city, and I think that some people might enjoy it.

Also, Chicago does have an asian population, maybe not as big as the West Coast, but big enough where they could make an impact on attendance.

Sushi is probably my favorite food in the world, but I voted NO. I've never had good mall sushi or airport sushi, and I don't suspect Cell sushi would be much better. Suchi has everything to do with the caliber of the chefs and the quality of the fish, and to be cost effective I'm sure the Cell beancounters would try to do both on the cheap and it would show.

The churro and sushi combo remains intriguing, however...

Sushi's good.....

If you cook it right. :bang

I say, why not have it as an option...

I won't be eating it any time soon, but why not..

If we are debating if its supposed to be on the main concourse I'd say no. But if its in the stadium club, I'd say, surely, because the food up there is "etiquette deluxe" (Don't ask about my wording)

Some of the best sushi is cooked... Unagi and Anago (freshwater and marine eel), Ebi (shrimp), Tamago (sweet scrambled egg), anything with crab or surimi in it.

Why not just hav all kind of seafood at the ballpark like prawns and lobster.

I wonder if that kind of seafood (sushi, prawns etc) would be too much of an insurance risk with the food poisoning possibilites. :huh

I think if Shingo stays consitant, there should be like a cart set up, like Shingo's Sushi.

Or maybe...

SUSHINGO!!!!

or....

SUSHI 'N' GO!!!!!

:lolhitting

DBAHO, we don't have prawns and crayfish and such like you do. I left NSW with complete prawn envy. Those yabbis, split in half and grilled, are great. Ditto for the slipper lobsters and those black mud crabs (forget the common name, started with a 'C' I think) were also really exellent. We have squillids (mantis shrimp) here, but I never ate them until going to Sydney - not much meat to them but quite tasty.

Throw in some BBQ baby octopus and some baramundi and I'm set.

We have nothing close to that kind of seafood variety stateside.

Yeah it's very easy to get fresh and yummy seafood down here. Usually I just head to the market in the city, where u can buy all diff types of prawns, fish such as salmon, snapper etc. and calamari and lobster. Of course half the fun is actually going out to the bay and catching the fish yourself.

Sushi should be everywhere

dude sushi is just gross... i dont want the cell smelling like fish

Sox tradtion has always been a wide variety of gourmet and ethic foods far more than any other park

yes to sushi
