DodgeBall

Featured Replies

didn't see a review for this either...

I got back from the Tennessee leg of the tour and needed to veg in front of the silver screen, so I saw "Dodgeball" last nigth... it was great. There were some perfect moments that made this movie stand above the rest of the "stiller, and cohorts" movies. Chuck Norris, Lance Armstrong, and Luck of the Irish are among the funniest parts. Go see it, you'll be quite pleased compared to moderately funny flicks like "Starsky and Hutch", "Along came polly", or "Big Bounce". Great movie, IMO.

saw it last night too. the funniest movie ive seen in awhile i absolutely loved it. the critics dont know jack s***

I saw it last night, and thought it was pretty good. Nothing hysterical about it, but like Zoolander, alot of parts that made you laugh, but nothing that made you laugh hard.

I think they overdid the Ben Stiller stupid thing for example that "touche" scene.

thats part of the theme that he's stupid.

I liked it a lot, would probably rank it my 2nd favorite Ben Stiller movie behind Meet the Parents.

I agree with that, but I thought it was more of a Vince Vaughn movie, which puts it in third on his list, behind Swingers and Old School. I want Vince to lead more comedies...Stiller needs to play the straight man, he's better at that.

Vince Vaughn is absolutely hilarious. I can't get enough of how he presents himself, and how he turns a meaningless "Hello" into a really funny scene.

I agree, more comedies starring Vince Vaughn please.

If you want to see good Vince Vaugh, rent Swingers, Made, and obviously Old School.

"Made" is a terrible movie and pits Vaughn as an idiot to John Favrou's funny man... it's not true Vince at all.

Is Swingers a good movie?

Is Swingers a good movie?

It has its following.

I didn't really care for it personally, but many others will disagree.

Maybe I'm biased against it because all the douchebags at my work started acting like minor-league idiot Xerox copies of Vince Vaughn, but that movie did nothing for me.

I hate half of any flicks that come out. Really the only ones I liked was American Pie's and American Wedding.

Thats why I didn't see Dodgeball, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and The Matrix. (I hated the last three b/c I can't stand fantasy movies)

How you can hate LOTR and The Matrix boggles me.

Vince Vaughn is hillarious. Only good part about the 7th inning stretch at todays Cubs game.

On a sidenote, Mulder is the s***. Was sitting behind home (lucked out on getting the tickets) and holy smokes was he filthy.

I thought I was gonna get drilled by a bunch of fans when I decided to be a smart ass and yell Sosa sucks. After that I kept my mouth shut, LOL.

The part where Gretzky gets dropped in the movie is hillarious :lolhitting

all I can say is Meet the Parents was HORRIBLE

What?! Meet The Parents was hysterical! :headshake

to each his own...to each...his...own. :snr

"wait, your telling me your name is gay (lord) faucker?"

"yes."

What?! Meet The Parents was hysterical!  :headshake

horrible, no. hysterical, no. it was a good movie with a few laughs. nothing more, nothing less...

"If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball." ;)

It was a lot better than I thought it would be. I was kinda "eh" about the trailers. Plus I was worried about Vince Vaughn playing the nice guy instead of the cocky sarcastic dick but he pulled it off. There were a lot of very subtle quick lines in the movie from the different characters. All the cameo's were great especially Lance Armstrong

I also loved Jason Batman as the stoner guy announcer with the neck tattoo. Grat stuff, he always has really funny small roles in movies, gotta love it.

Really really funny

That is my favorite part of the movie. I love the Vince Vaughn plays as the Hawks, and how he talks about Belfour, JR, and Steve Larmer. :D

Didn't mention Bill Wirtz?

Jason Bateman is great as Michael Bluth in "Arrested Development." I hope they bring it back. That was a seriously underappreciated show, in a tough Sunday time slot up against whatever HBO heavy hitter (Curb/6 feet/Soppranos) was running. I thought it was easily the best-written network sitcom last year.
