November 30, 200421 yr Ken jennings lost today. I know some of you may of hear that he was gonna lose in november sometime but today he looked pretty good so i just thought that it was a rumor. He lost in on the final jeopardy. Ken.
November 30, 200421 yr Damn...I heard he was supposed to lose tomorrow...My b-day could've been historic....
November 30, 200421 yr I didn't feel like digging up the old thread, but qwerty, we posted at the same time, so I will delete mine!
November 30, 200421 yr Holy crap I didn't know he was still going. What did his streak end at? 75, and won slightly more than 2.5 million.
November 30, 200421 yr 74 days. 2.5 million in winnings http://www.kottke.org/04/11/ken-jennings-final-episode I get 75 every where i have looked.
November 30, 200421 yr http://www.kottke.org/04/11/ken-jennings-final-episode I get 75 every where i have looked. 75 including today's loss maybe?
November 30, 200421 yr quiz show... Possibly, but I doubt Jeopardy would risk it. They are still going strong, I would be more suspicious of some newer or dying show.
November 30, 200421 yr Totally fixed. How in the hell could he not know H&R Block was the answer...???
November 30, 200421 yr Totally fixed. How in the hell could he not know H&R Block was the answer...??? Well I didn't know the answer, but why would he guess Fed-Ex?
November 30, 200421 yr Well I didn't know the answer, but why would he guess Fed-Ex? i can understand it. when i first heard the question i guessed UPS
November 30, 200421 yr i can understand it. when i first heard the question i guessed UPS Okay, but why? What am I missing?
November 30, 200421 yr Okay, but why? What am I missing? for the holiday season you could figure they would hire more people to deliver and process packages to speed things up
November 30, 200421 yr Totally fixed. How in the hell could he not know H&R Block was the answer...??? I read some where a while back that he was getting bored with the show. But how in the world can you get bored winning million of dollars? Maybe he just wanted to get off of it.
November 30, 200421 yr That would get kinda tiring to me. You're set for life, now live your life. I would try to make it to one hundred shows. Maybe that is just me, a pretty cool mark to get to imo.
November 30, 200421 yr H&R Block has offered to prepare his tax returns free for life Nice tie in. Someone mentioned set for life. It depends on how he wants to live his life. Conservative investments on say $1,750,000 (after taxes) would be in the $50,000 to $60,000 range. Not a lot by California standards. He would have to either increase some risk or dig into the principle. He certainly doesn't have to worry.
December 1, 200421 yr Totally fixed. How in the hell could he not know H&R Block was the answer...??? Do mormons pay taxes?
December 1, 200421 yr Overheard after the show: Alex - "So, what next Ken?" Ken - "What is get a life Alex?"
December 1, 200421 yr for the holiday season you could figure they would hire more people to deliver and process packages to speed things up Well I understand that but I think it's pretty obvious that the majority of Fed-Ex or UPS employees are not white collar workers. Anyways doesn't matter anymore I guess Ken is just dumb as a doornob.

Anyways doesn't matter anymore I guess Ken is just dumb as a doornob. Ya, I have no idea how the hell he thought fed ex was white collar or at least the majority. Its a good blue collar job. I'd call him a moron, but he's made more money then I have
