After all, they will probably be paying for my college education. But waking up at 5 was not fun at all. VU? It would be worth a little slave labor to have a free education at a school like that. When you get to be my wife and i's age and are still owing $ 65K in school loans, it makes a big difference.

My parents are begging me to go to VU because both of my sisters refused, even though it would be free. The deal is if you are a full time employee for a certain amount of time, then your children can go there for free. What is even better is that there is a list of about 100 other "sister" schools of Valpo that have the same offer. The best one that comes to mind is Marquette. Those are the schools that interest me because (1) They're free and (2) they aren't 10 minutes from home and seconds from my mom's work.

But you can't beat the free college, and VU is one of the best schools in the country. Okay dad. I am considering it. As for the sister schools, I'm not really sure about room and board, I'll ask. A good thing about VU is that it is really growing lately. Just being on campus a lot for work, I have seen the new buildings and gotten familiar with all of it. It is beginning to win me over.

I only have 12K left on mine (started with 18K) and it feels like I will never be free of that debt.
