We won, which is great, but our hitting is still in the s***s. Only 6 hits and once again we won only because the Home Run ball bailed us out

I disagree. Fred pitched SOLID, and we put up a solid 5 spot on the board.

Defense was awful but Freddy was awesome. Can we demote shingo, what the hell is he doing he gave up a hit.

Borchard looks more comfortable batting from the left side than he does from the right.

 

If it weren't for some nice plays by Kotsay in center, he might have 3 hits today instead of one.

 

 

Uribe is looking mighty brutal, and so is Crede unfortunately.

RH - about 290... 4 HR's

LH - about 260... 12HR's

They were saying Borchard hits a lot better from the left side but has faced so many lefties of late he hasn't had a chance to hit left handed.

The final out was ugly. Shingo could have found himself in the DL if it weren’t for his glove, but he earned his 6th save.

At the left side of the plate Borchard can hit, from the right side, its not very pretty.

Maybe they should do a "Valentin" and have him just bat left handed the rest of the season.

 

They DO need another lefty in the batting lineup.
