Untouchable?

Featured Replies

Since we are close to the deadline. I wanted to see who everyone thinks should be untouchable prospects in trades.

I have a short list.

1. Sweeney

1A. Anderson

2. BMac

3. Valido

3A. Schurnstein

1. Garcia

2. Lee

3. Buehrle

4. Uribe...... rolleyeyes.gif

1) Anderson

2) Sweeney

3) BMac

4) Diaz

5) Wing (I still want to give him a shot in our organization, not someone elses)

lol I'm sorry I meant as in prospects, that why I posted it here. I will go back and change to make it more clear.

I'm just kidding around, I knew ya meant that.

1. Bmac

2. Anderson

3. Sweeney

The other guys I would consider untouchable can't be traded yet.

Anderson

Sweeney (though I wouldn't mind trading him if we got an all-star, I just don't want him to be tossed around)

Diaz (only because we won't get proper value for him after what he did with the Sox this year)

BMac

Sweeney

Anderson

That's it.

:o maybe, just maybe Anderson. Other than that, nobodys safe.

Anderson and Sweeney, B-Mac would be the next on the list, but because he isn't a "Name" prospect, he's more likely to be dealt.

That'd be my list too...

Don't get rid of Sweeney.

Don't get rid of Anderson.

They will be good players in the future.

They are part of the reason why Reed was able to be involved in a trade.

Anderson, Sweeney, BMac, Honel(although he's hurting so I doubt anyone would want him) of the guys who can be traded(Kenny, you trade Gio at any time we're going to have words...). Anyone else I'd deal if it'd help our team.

(Kenny, you trade Gio at any time we're going  to have words...)

My thoughts exactly. I see Gio as our most untouchable even though he can't be dealt yet. Guys that good, that young are not to be dealt.

IMO, no one is untouchable, ever. If you get blown away by a trade offer and it will make your team and/or organization better, you do it.

I'm not talking about trading your whole farm system for a 40 year old pitcher, but what I'm saying is if there's an overwhelming deal on the table, no guy is ever untouchable.

That being said, I would hate to give up either Anderson or Sweeney. Especially Anderson, he is coming on like gangbusters and he could be a #2 hitter and CF for this franchise for 10+ years.
