Anyone else worried about Garcia...

All I can see is flashbacks of Mark Prior in spring training...

What if it turns out that he is done with the Sox and could never pitch again (I realize it's an extreme case scenario) would we still have to pay him 36 million or do we have some kind of an out clause.

I'm not that worried about Freddy.

I still "kind of trust" what they're telling us.....sort of.....maybe.....

My guess about the contract is, I would think that Freddy gets paid by the insurance company that the Sox bought a policy on him from. I would think the Sox have some sort of injury insurance on all their contracts.

Just a guess, though, I have no insider info...."I'm just a fan"..... :D

He has tightness in his forearm, not a bad achilles and elbow like Prior did. They are not trying to rush him back and they are taking it easy with him to see how he responds to long toss and side sessions. I for one am not very worried. I think he will be alright.

They should SHUT HIM DOWN. Why risk a pitcher who can possibly give you 20 wins year in and year out?

tell Freddy to chill and we'll see him in February

Why take a chance?

it's concerning.

Not worried in the least. Give him the rest of the year off, and we are fine.

If it were his elbow/shoulder/knee/achilles...then I'd be s***ting myself.

Yes just shut him down for the rest of the year. No harm in that, be safe here.

Tightness in the forearm many times leads to problems with the elbow.

Does anybody know how Jeremy Reed's forearm is holding up?

I would say still sore, but I'm not his body. Judging by his numbers, I would say he's holding up alright.. ;)
