The Blue Jays signed Catalanotto to a 2 yr, 5.4 million dollar extension today. So much for him on the team next year. Not too upset though, he can't play defense a lick, and we have enough DH.

I didn't like everyone's love affair with him anyway.

Could be to up his trade value, who knows.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Durazo in Oakland... I don't really know his situation, but he's been in the league for 6 years, and doesn't have a contract for next season. I assume he's a FA, if not, I still don't know if Oakland can keep him, he'll be due a big raise.

 

I think it may be a choice of keeping Zito or keeping Durazo.

I agree. I just don't see it. I wouldn't mind as a fourth or fifth OF, but not a everyday player.

I couldn't tell you -- But I assume he can't play there just because hatterberg takes most of the reps at 1B.
