October 24, 200421 yr I didn't see it on here, maybe it was but: I saw in numerous papers and web-sites that Omar Minaya is considering Joey Cora to be his manager. He seems like an outside-canditate but he is good friends with Minaya and could bring them a different look. What do you guys think?
October 24, 200421 yr Ya, if Joey gets the call, thats great news. He'll be missed though. He hardly, if ever, made a bad decision as our 3rd base coach. To Joey.
October 24, 200421 yr His mistakes always seemed to be when he waved Gload in. I don't remember the details, but at the time it struck me as a poor move. Hawk sure likes Joey. But you know that if someone is considering him for mgr, it's partly because he will be cheap.
October 24, 200421 yr it's partly because he will be cheap. The Mets? It won't be because he's cheap. This is the same team that gave Art Howe like $3 mill a year over 3 years to manage.

October 25, 200421 yr Author I didn't see it on here. Anyway, being from the metropolitan area, it came out as soon as Minaya was hired. I should have posted it earlier. I don't think Cora really has a chance though. His name hasn't been mentioned in the hiring process anymore since the beginning.

He'll be back next year giving signs and waiving guys home.
October 25, 200421 yr I posted that like a month ago. :rolly And I think I posted it before you, so take that Mr. Super. YASNY came up with a good point from one of those threads though, Cora would get killed in New York considering he has no experience in that city.
