Sox to play Rockies for the first time in 2005

Hot off the presses...ooh...hot.

The White Sox released their 2005 road schedule Tuesday, a slate of games that includes a matchup with the Colorado Rockies, the only major league team the White Sox have never played.

That three-game series in Colorado's Coors Field is June 6-8 and is followed by three games June 10-12 in San Diego, where the Sox visit Petco Park for the first time. In the team's usual interleague series with the Cubs, the Sox play at Wrigley May 20-22, the earliest regular-season matchup between the two teams, and at home against the Cubs June 24-26.

A great Spring Training rivalry finally manifests itself next June. THIS time it COUNTS!!

History in the making. :headbang

on hearing the news, Jon Garland's lifetime ERA automatically went up by 1 run per game.

Well, I was pumped about the news. I've been waiting forever for Sox to come out here. :headbang

Wow, Sox-Rockies at Coors. Should be a sluggfest.

Could get over 30 runs in 1 game possibly. :o

I'm going to try and make it to Denver for this series. It's about 9 hours from here.

I'll be there. I know it's way too early, but I can get a luxury suite for a game or two if there is any interest.

Going to be a series of homeruns. How many homers do think there could possibly be?
