Arafat brain dead..?

Featured Replies

Heard it on the radio, but no links from the internet.. Anyone else hearing this?

All I read was that there were conflicting reports about whether he fell into a coma or not.

Not brain dead. Either in a coma, or just dead.

I guess Isreali radio is saying he's dead.. his people are denying.

How do any of you think Arafat's death would affect the Israeli/Palestinian situation? Does it even matter, or are their differences too deep and entrenched to be settled diplomatically?

Well... since Arafat never named a successor... I forsee chaos.

Arafat braindead? There is probably a crude joke in there somewhere but I will let it go. If this is true, hopefully some way it works out where it pushes these two back to the peace table.

I heard on the radio that Israel is reporting that he's dead (that he has no activity in his brain) but that his heart is still working, so technically he's alive.

The hospital he is at is denying this report though. I'm assuming he's in a comma. Either way this is going to be very interesting to see how this situation is handled by Palestinians and Israelites.

Anyone else hearing the AIDS rumor..?

f*** him. If he's dead, I hope to Allah that he's getting cornholed by Satan right now. Terrorist piece of s***.

Officially brain dead

Just read on WCKG that he's offically brain dead.

I know it's not an official news source, but they haven't ever reported anything that hasn't occurred.

OK.

I know people are denying it, and it makes total sense. If you have no successor set up, you want to keep order and prevent a big power struggle. So right now you deny everything, until you figure out who is taking over.

He might be brain dead but I dont believe hes dead yet:

Reuters is reporting the hospital has denied reports he is dead:

Linky- Yahoo News

But I guess we will have to wait and see...

Oh and its nice finally posting again on here ;)

If you're brain dead, you're f***ing DEAD.

If you're brain dead, you're f***ing DEAD.

Well youre dead...but then they have their ass covered by saying hes not 'dead'

Sounds like a technicality to me...and most likely chaos will ensue

I can't say i'll miss him any...

This could be really bad if his successor turns out to be more radical than he is. Everything is primed for a huge war in the middle east right now, and this could be the fuse that sets off the bomb.

Arafat is in a coma state right? He is not dead

He's only breathing thanks to life support systems so I don't think he's coming back. And Steff is right, there'll be complete chaos between Israel and Palenstines now. Let's hope Bush can actually take his focus off Iraq for a second and get these 2 back on the peace table.
