I voted for Osuna.

However I honestly don't care who they sign as long as it's not another Mike Jackson...

I also would be interested in seeing the Sox look into Bob Wickman.

I think Glendon Rusch would be a good P to look into. Saw him at an Astros game and he looked awesome. Could also spot start.

Also, maybe a Robb Nen. Sign him to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training. He has some nasty stuff when healthy.

The Sox very well might. Kenny should at least test the waters.

I hadn't thought about Nen, what is his contract status?

Osuna = Mike Jackson

Osuna = Mike Jackson

:huh: Really, how so?

He is a free agent, this is his past contract.

2001: $6.3M (+$0.6M signing bonus)

2002: $8.0M

2003: $8.6M

2004: $9.0M

-Can void the contract after 2002 or 2003, receiving an extra $2M payment.

His health status is very questionable, but I brought him up in one of my first blog entries. His arm will never be 100% again, but he wants to pitch again this year.

I think signing him to a minor league deal would be fine, but I figure he'd be more comfortable accepting that sort of contract with the Giants.

Rusch = getting absolutely rocked in the american league.

Free agent Matt Mantei called Cubs GM Jim Hendry yesterday to discuss a possible one-year deal.

Mantei isn't going to handed the job by any team, but he still might head into next season as a closer, possibly with the Cubs, Rockies or Marlins. Although last year was a disaster, he should still be effective while healthy. Nov. 18 - 2:13 pm et From rotoworld.

What the hell can we not offer that the rockies can?

= Going to the Marlins most likely especially if they lose Pavano.

For being such a crappy year for relievers in FA, there are a few decent ones out there.

I'd love to see almost any of these guys brought in, quite honestly.

The Sox have also expressed interest in Mantai, though he prefers the Cubs.

I do not doubt you, but do you have a link because i have seen nothing.

Rocks are also looking at Rob Nenn. I think if its a reliever the Rocks name is being mentioned with the club. But your right, the Sox should look at him. He'd be a similar acquisition to Flash Gordon.

I read to much crap to remember where I saw this. I think it was at one of the Chicago papers' websites.

Alright, like i said i believe you but all that i have seen is 3-4 teams are looking into him and the sox were not on the list. ;)

Garber said the White Sox also have expressed interest in Mantei, but the pitcher prefers the Cubs.

Here's your link.

Thank you, i have just been looking for a while now and nothing. :cheers
