how do you UofI fans feel about Augustine?

 

He's underrated. Although, he has won the Big Ten player of the week twice already this year. But the media tends to talk about the backcourt so much he gets overlooked. We'll be in trouble if he gets into foul trouble in the tournament because I don't have much confidence in Nick Smith. Ingram is a solid backup but Smith is just not very good at anything but shooting and he hasn't been too good at that this year.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but in defense of Vitale he has says that Illinois is #1 in the country right now but he thinks UNC will win the title. I don't have a problem with that, not everyone should pick Illinois to win the whole thing.

I was referring to his "quiet" comment about who he thinks really is number 1 right now. He said it was Carolina because of the frontline with Marvin/Jawad Williams and Sean May. Enough is enough out of him. This game needs no banter about UNC or the ACC for that matter, its a great matchup and a truly great team is dominating right now. Just no need for it. He's moved on from Duke because he realizes they don't have the depth this year, I almost wish he would go back.

Actually, UNC fans have been tired of him for a long, long time. Alot of fans were irritated with his constant referrels of Dean Smith as "Michaelangelo" and his UNC love fest. Then when he turned to Duke 5 years ago or so, it just tipped the scales completely against him. You should see the hatred of him on UNC boards.
