December 17, 200421 yr What does everyone think Crede will do this season? Will he finally break out, or is this how Joe Crede will be the rest of his career. If he has another season like the last, do we give up on him, or just settle, and upgrade at other positions. :banghead
December 17, 200421 yr This is the make or break year for Joe. Fields is coming fast, and Joe is approaching his arbitration years.
December 17, 200421 yr 25- 30 hrs. If not I believe he'll need a change of scenery. This guy was a triple crown threat in triple a. He has talent.

December 17, 200421 yr It depends on what Josh fields does this year...if he rips it up, then Crede is probably gone. If fields regresses...then we'll probably resign Crede and get Fields some time at 1st.
December 17, 200421 yr I think your gonna see this guys true colors this year, very Robinesque.... 270 25 80 if you dont like those numbers than Joe is never gonna fit in here.

December 17, 200421 yr I've never seen Fields so take this with a grain of salt but prospects will oftne hit one major skid that will slow them down a bit. Look at a guy like Rickie Weeks for example. I would imagine that Fields won't get a chance to play everyday until the opening day of 07, meaning the next 2 years in the minors or as a callup. I think that Crede's overall numbers could be better this year but I anticipate him falling into the dreaded Willie/Uribe trap of having relaly good months while disappearing in others. I say Joe is here beyond this year.

December 17, 200421 yr As far as being a "fan" of certain players this is my final year for both crede and garland. I'm not sure what numbers they have to put up but if they have years like last year (or worse) then i'm willing to give up on them. then again....i always seemd to be willing to give Jim Parque another year so what the hell do i know????!!!!!!!! juddling

December 17, 200421 yr .247/28/69/.306 obp. We still should have gotten a third baseman this year in my opinon. Though, many do not agree.

December 18, 200421 yr I have always been a Crede supporter but 2005 he has to show some real progress or get ready for Fields.
December 18, 200421 yr This is it for Joe. I wonder what he's doin this offseason. Hopefully listening to Walker at that hitting studio in Lisle. He's good on defense; it sure would be nice to pencil him in for 10 years like Robin. You sure hope he and Garland get off to good starts. Maybe it'll help Garland greatly if he's our No. 5 and nobody expects much from him except 14-10, 14-11 type record.
