We got a lot of snow over the night here in Gary. Very windy. It's been calm since, but meteorologists say they expect us to get even more snow tonight.

I hear it's gonna blast Chicago tomorrow.

Snow bites ass.

I'd rather it be 20 below than snowing, I don't have to shovel cold weather.

Damn you all suck. I want the damn snow.

50 degrees and partly cloudy its been so try this year in oregon its not even funny.

We have about a foot base, with drifts up to about 3 feet. It's crazy. The roads are awful, I haven't seen the pavement in front of my house since Friday afternoon.

:lolhitting :snow

I just picked my first orange of the season off a tree in my backyard. Not quite as nostalgic as picking apples at Heatley Orchards in Round Lake, but it will have to do.

The wisemen weren't trudging through snow to visit the baby Jesus

The weather up north is frightful

But here, it's so delightful;

As long as I'm way down here

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow . . .

Changed the line for you, to make it rhyme.....and added a second verse....you're welcome..... :D

Since it won't affect where I go,

Oh, into the ditch they're glidin',

and there's lots of cars collidin',

If the casualty rates stay low,

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snooooowww......

snow rocks man

Damn, I hope it :snow :snow :snow :snow :snow till the sun don't shine anymore.

I want to have a huge snowball fight. And make snowforts.

You know the only part about going home that I am dreading is all the snow that is supposed to come. But I'll suck it up because it'll get me away from school for 3.5 weeks.

Meanwhile here in DC there has been a light snow tonight. Due to the light snow, weather.com felt it was necessary to issue a winter weather advisory and to tell people to "dress in layers and wear hats to cover their heads." (Why people shouldn't already know that, I don't know.) Also in the winter advisory was this:

SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS IN THE AREA RANGED FROM 1/2 TO NEAR 1 INCH THIS EVENING. AN ADDITIONAL 1/2 INCH ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH 4 AM.
(oh no! a 1/2 inch!)

Thought some of you may find amusement in this...my New York roommate and I certainly did.

Haha! It missed South Bend! (for once) :headbang

Is it just me or does the TV treat every little piss-ant 1" snowfall like a disaster these days? I remember when I was a kid back in the 80's we'd have 6" on the way and the TV would barely mention it in passing.

Yeah, Nuke, it'll be something like "The Blizzard of 2004" with "continuous coverage" consisting of the lame-ass weather-guesser talking about weather patterns and flipping a coin as to whether or not this particular storm will hit or not.

Already I've heard that Chicago will get smacked by the storm that dumped 2 feet of snow on Michigan City, In and then heard that Chicago will get "flurries".

Here's the Bridge and one more verse:

Well the snowplow came by today

Piled six feet in front of my door,

So I'll shovel my my life away

And the weatherman says 'Here's some more!'

And it's easy to think snow's funny

When you're down where it's hot and sunnny

So since I'm not there no mo'....

Let it snow.....

Let it snow.....

LET IT SNOW!

Yeah the final verdict ended up being about 2 feet of snow, give or take the inch that you sissies in Chicago got, with an snow emergency to make it nice and officially a snow storm. Anyone out in the streets yesterday was being ticketed, and it still didn't stop idiots, like me for example, from going out and driving around. I did manage to baja a snow bank out by the state prision and still avoid getting stuck.

All together now . . .

The weather up north is frightful

But here, it's so delightful;

As long as I'm way down here

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
