Sox from him not backing down from orginal offer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I don't blame them. No way in heck does someone who has never proven a thing in the MLB deserve 5 mil per... (Which is what was said on the radio)
January 15, 200521 yr From what I gathered is the hold up is Iguchi wants 3 years and the Sox only want 2....

January 15, 200521 yr QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Jan 15, 2005 -> 01:15 AM) That's about $2M a year, I thought that's what we wanted to pay him? No your mixing up what was said. He said Iguchi wanted 3/21- we offered 2/4 then igunchi came down to 2 or 3/ 5 million per year. We apparently didn't move off our offer, according to levine. But he will be the last to know.
January 15, 200521 yr Author thats not the difference. I did hear him clearly what I wrote about 3 yrs 5-6 mil. Its same offer if it was 2 yr. Bruce levine years probably not wrong but in terms of money wrong.
January 15, 200521 yr Iguchi wants 5-6m a year not 6M for a year deal.. According to Mel Antoneen the Sox did offer Iguchi a 3 year deal for 9-10M

We apparently didn't move off our offer, according to levine. But he will be the last to know. ahh, ok, well in that case it's probably best to stand firm with our offer, perhaps go as high as $3M/year, but no more than that for a guy who's never played a day of MLB.
January 15, 200521 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 15, 2005 -> 01:26 AM) Bruce is an imbecile. Just felt like saying that. God Bruce blows. He really is losing his mind.
January 15, 200521 yr I wish ESPN 1000 baseball expert was Jayson Stark that we would know what really is going on...
January 15, 200521 yr QUOTE(chisox2334 @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) anyone agree that A. J. will get 15-18 home runs and 80-90 rbi's? Here it is very possible. I think he will hit closer to 15 than 18.
