Featured Replies

I heard an interview on sporting news radio they were talking to Phil Rogers he mentioned that the Whitesox are very intersted in making a trade for Tony Graffanino. He said that Graff is one of Reinsdorf fav players who he would like to have back on the sox

id be fine with that that would be a good pickup i like tony g alot.

I wonder if he will be healthy enough...I got this on RotoTimes.com

Aug. 27 Tony Graffanino has undergone successful surgery to repair tears in his right rotator cuff and right labrum, according to the KC Star. Nothing unexpected was found.

That would probably put the kibosh on Iguchi.

I wouldn't mind that at the right price.

Super utility man! YAY!

If he is healthy though I would really like him back...he would be a great utility guy.

Unless they trade Willie Harris for some pitching

:o No s***.

I'd welcome Graff back with open arms. If they are unable to land Iguchi or some other middle infielder via free agency, I'd rejoice bringing Graff back in Black and Silver via trade.

Ozzie would love this guy; Graff plays the game the right way, and although he may not be the most talented guy on the roster, he'd help solidfy the middle infield situation with Harris and Uribe.

Plan A- Sign Iguchi

Plan B- Try and trade for Graff without giving up the farm

I think I'd gladly take Graff back. We know what we're getting with this guy. He was great in Chicago.

Plan A 1/2- Florida, we'll take Castillo's salary off your hands!

That might work as a platoon w/ Willie, but I wouldn't really want him as a replacement. He's had trouble w/ rhp at times, and even w/ all the tough lefties in the Central, you're still going to see a lot more rhp over a full season.

I would love this deal. He could platoon with Willie at 2B and step in at SS or 3B if we needed him too. He couldn't be a starter but he wouldn't have to be.

As long as we don't have to give up a stud prospect for him i'm all for it.

Phil Rogers also mention in the interview that the Sox are still going hard for Iguchi and that they might add another pitcher very soon to a minor league contract but didnt mention any names

anyone know what free agents pitchers are still out there

It'd be very smart for them to bring in a few pitchers on minor league deals for depth purposes.

Graffanino is also a good idea but I have concerns whether or not he's healthy. He was really banged up last year, I recall he had a leg injury as well.

The other factor to consider here is the White Sox and Kansas City haven't made a trade since the late 1980's if I'm not mistaken. They rarely if ever deal with each other.

Maybe it's Loazia...

Seriously though I wouldn't mind giving Nomo or Sparks a minor league deal...

I'd rather have Durham.

I don't think they're talking about adding another starter, I wonder if it could be Nen.

maybe they want to bring osuna back?

Oh and don't forget Robert Person will be back from the Achillies, maybe they want to give him another shot...

I think it might be Aaron Sele I know KW has been high on him in the past

I think everybody would rather have Durham. Besides if we did get Tony G. back I highly doubt it would be as a starting 2B. More then likely he would just take Valdez's place on the roster. In fact I doubt he would even effect any Durham/Castillo/Iguchi deal.

I think whether they should bring back Tony whether they get Durham/Iguchi or not. That way if Uribe or whoever the 2nd basemen is going to be starts slow you've got a veteran you can put in there.

I'd LOVE to have Tony G back. He was clutch in his last season with the Sox in '03
