March 14, 200521 yr Sweet Cal State Fullerton made the NIT. Of course its total horses*** that they have to go to Oregon State. They should be the home team but alas, they have a minimal size arena and I'm sure its about the facilities in a sense. Plus OSU is from a big time conference I guess.
March 14, 200521 yr DePaul going to Missouri is bulls*** too. I am officially pissed at Notre Dane since they lost the Pittsburgh game and collapsed against Rutgers. :puke But, if they get past Holy Cross, it's clear sailing to DePaul/Missouri.
March 14, 200521 yr I'm interested to see how well Maryland will do. I'm sure it's a huge let down that they didn't make it.
March 14, 200521 yr I'm going to go to the IU game wednesday versus Vandy. Since IU is on spring break, should be pretty easy to get good seats and I still have my student id, luckily.
March 14, 200521 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) But, if they get past Holy Cross, it's clear sailing to DePaul/Missouri. If they can lose to Rutgers with their season on the line, I don't see how you can say it's clear sailing past anyone in the NIT.
March 14, 200521 yr QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) I'm going to go to the IU game wednesday versus Vandy. Since IU is on spring break, should be pretty easy to get good seats and I still have my student id, luckily. Bah...I don't even know if I could stomach that. I'm just glad our guys are still playing some games to possibly end the season on a better note.
March 15, 200521 yr This bracket's such a mess compared to the NCAA, because I can't tell what date the future games are to be on. I guess I just have to play eenie miny mo. However, if we're still playing, and if our next 2 games are after Sunday, I think I'll be there.
March 15, 200521 yr QUOTE(backman @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) i heard something, did marrquette loose? I heard they got thumped. But I haven't checked on it.
March 15, 200521 yr QUOTE(backman @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) i heard something, did marrquette loose? Lost last night 54-40 at home to Western Michigan. Marquette went 1-4 in its last 5 games without Travis Deiner.

March 16, 200521 yr Yeahhhhhh Holy Cross. They'd be in if the didn't lose their game in the tournament. Glad to see them beat Notre Dame though.
March 17, 200521 yr :waits for response from he gawn about how this was just a hoax, and the game was so favorable for the vandy team.
March 17, 200521 yr I only saw the first 10 minutes or so of the IU-Vandy game tonight and the last 12 seconds, so I can't really comment on the whole game, but Vandy was putting on a freakin Princeton offense clinic in the first half. They were so good I found myself appreciating, if not applauding some of their plays. They backcut IU to death and I am only talking about the first 10 minutes! IU's defense reminded me of when Northwestern dissected them in the first game of the Big Ten season. I am very disappointed the season ended this way. As an IU fan I am just not sure what to say or where to go. I know this wasn't the most experienced team, but I expected a better effort from them in the past two games.
March 17, 200521 yr I personally have a hard time about getting mad over tonight. It's the NIT. I can't get excited over that at all. Even if we won the thing, I don't know how happy that would make me.
