What do you think. Everyday I hear people talking about wheather or not he can get the job done like last year. Do you think that teams will catch up to him this year or do you think that he can make the proper adjustments? Is Shingo capable of shuting down the teams when the ninth rolls around with his change or do you think that he needs to develop some more zip to the fastball. And what if he isn't able to mow down guys like last year? Who is next in line to be the closer? Marte? JV, or Hermanson?

To answer the title, nope.

im worried because u cant get anywhere without a closer...plus our division is full of lefties...

Personally I'm on the fence, I think if he has confidence in his pitches and isn't intimidaded by the hitter. Then he can have success

Its spring training, he was lights out last year. Am I worried??? HELL NO :gosox1:

Remember, he sucked last spring training as well.

True, mabey he needs time to get his arm warmed up

Correct me if I am wrong but those were the first runs he gave up all spring as well right?? He is eventually going to do that every now and again. I wouldn't worry too much about him.

s***... I misread the question... I meant to say no but I think I hit yes instead...

One of those yes's are really a no.

Nope. Shingo is probably working on his new pitch also and he is just getting his work done.

Not worried. He's pitched in every game possible. He's not going to have an ERA of zero, but he'll do good again this year. I can't wait to see his new pitch.

Trade his ass for Mackowiak :bang

not

one

bit

In a word, no.

I am not worried about Shingo at all. He'll be fine.

He has good control, and he knows how to change speeds effectively. Those traits almost always lend themselves to good pitchers, so I think Shingo will be fine.

Two words: No.

Let's wait and see what this new pitch is before we cast him down to the lowly middle relievers. Even though he got hit yesterday, did you see some of the nasty hamburgers he was sending up there? I think Ken Harvey popped an shoulder on one of his swings.

Two words:  No.

Thats two letters dumbass :P

O ERA: Edison, Camden, Jacobs, Comerica, Pro Player, Kauffman, Olympic , Network, Safeco, Tropicana, Arlington

1+ ERA: Metrodome

2+ ERA: The Cell

6+ ERA: Wrigley

10+ ERA: Fenway, Bronx

I see no reason to be concerned.

You're telling me. Guess who gets to fix them :bang

Finger, here.

Panic button, waaaaaay over there.

I'll wait til he Koches a few games that count before I start getting panicky.

I see no reason to worry. Anyone who is worried is just thinking he is not a typical closer. Many of the same things have been said about Folke.
