Garland may not be able to go tomorrow.

I still vote for Buehrle today and Freddie tomorrow. With Garland today and Buehrle tomorrow, they were both gonna be the underdog and we probably lose the series. Buehrle will beat Radke and Santanna/Garcia is a toss up. Our odds for taking the series suddenly are in our favor. Do you push Freddie like that so early in the year though?

Santana vs anyone makes the Twins the favorite. I would rather not have Garcia go on 3-days rest, especially after some of the forearm problems he had last season. I think Garland might be able to go tomorrow night, especially with it being a night game. I'm just happy we won last night, because I was concerned about the pitching matchups this wknd.

CSN says the Sox are 99% sure Garland will be ready to go.

big mistake. How did the guy go from leaving the park yesterday, to being ready today? Radke was probably gonna light him up anyway, Girland's chances just got worse.

Not sure if 10 hits and only 1 K over 6 innings qualifies as a quality start, but he did only allow three runs. That ain't bad for a #5.

If he pitches that way in USCF, I'll take it... Avoid the walks, Pitch to contact. The hits will come down, they had a bunch of INF hits. He'll get a bunch of DP balls to get him out of jams. The infield at the Baggie had alot to do with that hit total, plus he was all over the plate tonight.

The metrodome had 17% more singles than league average last season.

6 innings. 3 runs. That's a quality start. Five in a row for our starting rotation! :headbang

I'd take that from Jon every day of the week. We should definitely be able to score more than 3 runs in most games, especially with half our games at the Cell. If the bullpen do their job, Garland will have a good year with regular outings like that.
