Carl Everett has absolutely no chance to steal a base. With 2 outs, there's a better chance that he'll score from first on an extra base hit than to be safe on a straight steal.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 07:40 PM)
Why?  Stealing bases has been scoring runs for us all year so far.  Plus, now we get to start the at-bat over.

Turning the line-up over is a good thing. Not finding ways to make outs on the basepaths, and sending the same guy back up there next inning.

Good pitching by Contreras against Boone there.

C'mon Jose, pitch out of this.

Jose, ignore the runner and just get an out any way you can.

YES

INNING OVER

Very nice. It would be great to have someone on for Rowand, who looked good in his last AB.

Huge inning there by Jose. He may be done for the evening but I love the way he bounced back after that shaky start.

Fly out to Aaron ends the 6th. Ballgame tied at 3.

Don't look now, but that gives Jose a quality start again. The Sox are 7 out of 8 now for QSs on the season.

Jose, ignore the runner and just get an out any way you can.

That is what Jose needs to do except when they are on 1st base and trying to steal. He seems to lose his head with runners on base.

Stat of the night so far, Jose only has 49 strikes out of 94 pitches. I'm suprised he's only given up 3 runs, but he's done a real good job after the 1st.

The Indians inability to play small ball and move the runner over after a lead off double came back to haunt them. Go Sox!

Aaron has scary opposite field power. That's a homerun under normal conditions but I'll take a double.

Eek..Aaron killed that but the wind stopped it from leaving the yard.

COME ON AJ WE NEED A BIG RBI

Damn on a normal night that ball is 10 rows deep.

Damn it AJ, you really killed that one.

And our hopes again lie in the bat of Joe Crede.

Damnit AJ cant get it done

Dear Joe Crede,

A RBI here and I will almost fully forgive you for everything I'ver ever said.

Thanks,

Willie

PH for Crede here? We could have Timo hit for him, and move Uribe to 3b and Ozuna to SS. Maybe Podsednik?

JOE CREDE YOU f***ING SON OF A b**** I LOVE YOUR ASS

:P

Crede smoked that one off the wall?!?!? wtf?

Yes sir! That ball seemed to hang up forever.....Crisp almost caught up to it.

HOYL HELL.

Yeah JOE!!!!
