Hopefully this is the 2k5 turning point for Shingo. He went from 3-0 on his first hitter to a 3 up 3 down 9th with 2 Ks.

The only teams he has handled well have been KC and Seattle and those teams were just once so I do hesitate to get excited because I thought he was turning around a wek ago and that didn't turn out

The homerun by The Gooch was awesome ive been waiting to see him hit one all year that was a bomb too over the pen and like 5 rows back, and i love the flip it all looked so cool. Buehrle 4-1 baby!

Gooch was all around. He hit the ball to the opposite field then Anderson tried to go in on him and he turned on the next pitch for a dong. He worked Anderson over like we should work all soft tossing lefties. It was like a freakin clinic on how to do it. Arow with his opposite field dong. If these guys start hitting to all fields the offense is going to become very very very dangerous.

I'll admit, I get nervous when Shingo comes into a close game. But, I believe Ozzie's doing the right thing by gradually trying to get him back to his former self. He doesn't have to rely on just Shingo to close games, and he hasn't been doing that. But, he's got to put the save opportunity out there occasionally for him.
