May 12, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 12, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) This could be why Antoin Gray is on the suspended list. Toca rumored to be one of the names. Giambi was just released, so he could have been a positive test, although we should wait for the names to be released.
May 12, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 12, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) Toca Valido and Yofu NO, not Tetsu Yofu! Edited May 12, 200520 yr by Kalapse
May 12, 200520 yr "It is disappointing that players from our minor-league system tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in violation of Major League Baseball and the MLBPA's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment program," said David Wilder, White Sox director of player development. "We will continue to offer any support we can to players who remain members of the White Sox family, however, at the same time we strongly support Major League Baseball and the drug testing program because it is in the best interests of the game. There is no place for performance-enhancing drugs in baseball."
May 12, 200520 yr I know these aren't really big names but im just hopin this isnt something regular with our minor league system. http://sports.espn.go.com/minorlbb/news/story?id=2058907
May 12, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 12, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for these guys. We also know nothing about what any of the situations or substances might be. They test for more than just steroids, including quite a few over the counter substances that show up in health food products. Hopefully it's just a lesson learned.
May 12, 200520 yr LMAO, Bruce Levine just got asked about these guys on Chicago Tribune Live. He said how Toca is merely filling a spot in AAA. Ok, no big deal. He then talked about Valido and how the White Sox were pretty pissed. Then, here's the funny part, 'Valido is down in AA'. Do your homework Bruce! However, now take it with a grain of salt, he said Valido was taking an over-the-counter powder from GNC. Edited May 12, 200520 yr by danman31

I guess I should've said if they were doing roids. Of course, we could hook Timo up with some flaxseed oil.....
May 12, 200520 yr I can't blame Yofu and Toca...if I'm 30 and pretty much out of chances, I would consider doing steroids too. However that doesn't make it right...I hope they enjoy their break.
May 12, 200520 yr QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) Yofu was released yesterday so the Sox must of known. I was just thinking the samething. They must have told the teams before they released the info. I take it Toca is gone now too?
