I'm bored...why not?

At my dad's suggestion I downloaded the song "Return of the Native" by Fever Tree. It is pretty awesome.

I've been listening to a lot of Piebald, Jimmy Eat World, and Ben Folds lately.

Top 10 songs on my play list right now:

Ben Folds: Army

Ben Folds Five: Brick

Ben Folds: There's Always someone cooler than you

Jimmy Eat World: Sweetness

Jimmy Eat World: Get it Faster

Piebald: Fear and Loathing on Cape Cod

Piebald: Fat and Skinny Asses

The Mars Volta: Wasting my Air

The Strokes: Reptilia

Louis XIV: Finding out True Love is blind

Not much new stuff, but mostly songs that I am getting into again

Reptilla...much love for The Strokes. Right now I'd have to say the song I'm listening to the most is Hell Yes by Beck....yeah I know, his lyrics are f***ing silly, but I love the sound of that song. Here are some other current favorites:

Stockholm Syndrome by Muse

Out of My Way by Seether

Be Yourself by Audioslave

Volcano Girls by Veruca Salt

Mono by Courtney Love (you either like her or hate her granted)

Any possible song by Warren Zevon...and for some reason I cannot stop listening to the Jimmy Buffett album "Off to See the Lizard"

The new weezer album is good.

slowly been getting into dave matthews.

If you can find it "The Hockey Song (Hit Somebody)" Comes highly recommended.

i just saw a band saturday night called

"the john butler trio"

let me tell you, it was one of the best shows ive ever seen

right up there... if not a better live show then:

dave mattews

bens folds

tool

rage against the machine

phish

dredg

jack johnson

and the mars volta

it was that good of a show to me

i got their latest album which is called sunrise over sea... and it is my favriote cd of the year thus far. i highly recommend it... everyone i have pasted the cd on to loves it... my metal friends, my parents, my 5 year old cousin, even my grandma.

some tracks on it to check out if u wanna hear some stuff... download:

what you want (mid tempo song)

betterman (up tempo song)

peaches & cream (slow song)

seeing anglels (mid tempo song)

the entire album is completely amazing and is highly recommended (as you can tell)

they are from australlia and i would describe their sound as a mixture of dave matthews/accoustic phish without the hippness/ben harper/ben folds/jack johnson.... on 12 string guitar

its truly amazing, please check it out and then tell me what you think

btw: they are the music guests on the late late show tonight on CBS and will be supporting dave matthews band on their upcomming tour.

if you live in san fransisco, they will be playing a free show on saturday at the fireworks festivle at peir 30-32... 350,000 people are expected

check it out ya'll

The White Stripes seem to be always on my I-pod.

Love Weezer.

Check out Dispatch, great band.

Always go back to Soundgarden and STP, also AudioSlave.

Out of Exile out in a week. I am f***in pumped up.

Just bought 'Superunknown' too...dunno why, because I have all of the songs of it on my computer, but meh, it is OK...I had a $100 bill and wanted to break it, so I decided why the f*** not.

I'm really digging the new System of a Down CD. There is some really weird stuff going on in some of the songs, but I like the strange stuff for some reason. I think they just huff paint and then write music.

Fav Tracks so far:

"Violent Pornography"

"Radio/Video"

"B.Y.O.B"

"Revenga"

I heard an EXCELLENT cover of the Cure's "Inbetween Days" by Ben Folds on the radio a couple weeks ago. I can't find it anywhere on the Inter.......I MEAN, I can't find it in any STORES anywhere.... ;)

If anyone has an mp3 of that song that they'd like to email to me, PM me please.

I'd REALLY appreciate it.

I just got the new System today

I LOVE IT

I also picked up the new =w=

ew. what happened. I am a big Weezer fan, but Make Believe is such a dissapointment after the first listen. Maybe it'll grow on me. But right now I dont even want to look at that piece of garbage

As of late

Boys Night Out

Head Automatica

Mae

My girlfriend is a big Mae fan...if you like Mae, check out Armor for Sleep, they have a similar sound.

I'm surprised there have been no mention of The Shins...I think they are a little too mellow, but New Slang is a song I can't help but love

How about Straylight Run, Further Seems Forever, or Spill Canvas?

Something that sounds old: The Blue Van-the Art of Rolling

Something kinda new: Bloc Party-Silent Alarm

I gotta hav a listen to the new Weezer album as well. And Coldplay's new song.

Just becuase I was listening to them earlier

2 from one of the most underrated bands of the 90's, Faith No More.

"King for a Day, Fool For A Lifetime"

"Album of the Year"

All Quality stuff on those albums

Waking Ashland or Days Away

I just downloaded some songs from both the bands. Sounds pretty good.

You got anything else I should d/l?

Armor for Sleep's new CD is incredible.

You also can't go wrong with Death Cab for Cutie and As Tall As Lions. ATAL is probably my favorite band, i

And people seem to either love/hate: October Fall and The Academy Is... Both two local punk rawk bands from Schaumburg area. i personally hate them. But it's definately not a bell curve. You either praise Bill Beckett and Clark or wish them dead.
