Was that run earned or unearned? (just curious)

Should be earned

Anyone that has ever played baseball knows you can't make that play.

Earned, can't give scott an error there.

Podsednik screwed up Hermanson's ERA. He's at 1.12 now. :crying

It should definitely be unearned, but gameday has it listed as earned. Bulls***.

I didn't get to see the play - I just read it here lol.

Oh I know I was just saying to all the people who ripped Scotty.

Pods was never close to the ball. It's an earned run, unfortunately.

Yeah, but it was a fly ball that should be caught. Not blaming Pods, but it's a little rough to blame Hermanson.

I understand that, however that's not a play you can give an error on, so unfortunately Hermy takes the fall, I think he'll live :P

I understand all of that, it just really seems unfair to Hermanson. Oh well, he got the save and the Sox won. I guess he can live with an ERA over 1. :P

Ha, exactly. Life goes on.

P.S. - I told you all that Sizemore scared the hell out of me. I hate that guy, he's turning into a Sox killer (like there's not enough of those bastards around).

You can't give him an error there, but you should be able to. He should be wearing the Oakleys watching the ball out of Hermanson's hand, not dealing with the flippers he never flipped. As far off as he was to that ball, I doubt he ever saw it off the bat.

The good news is that they're not all on the Indians anymore, like they used to be.

Pods owes Hermey a steak dinner for blowing up his ERA there.

Coco Crispy and Belly-lard were the Sox killers last season.
