June 5, 200520 yr IM nervous for this series, i know theyre pitching isnt great but you can throw pitching out the window for this series. I dont know if our guys will try and just go for the homerun swing at every ab beacuse of the thin air and they havn't had experience at coors.
June 5, 200520 yr I have had that same feeling about this series especially with our two best groundball pitchers (MB AND JG) not pitching.
June 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) We'll win the first two games of the series and then let them have the third one. Of course I would not have it any other way.
June 5, 200520 yr Does anyone else actually think we should be playing the Rockies. But that's what interleague does, matches you up with teams like that.
June 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) Does anyone else actually think we should be playing the Rockies. But that's what interleague does, matches you up with teams like that. I wish they would go back to the Central vs Central type match ups. By and large they are way better than vs the teams outside of your region.
June 5, 200520 yr Why shouldn't we be playing Colorado? I don't see why so many people are opposed to playing interleague. Especially with all of the AL Central(minus the Twins) being crappy you at least get to see some better baseball. It's no worse than regular play honestly. I can't honestly see the difference or the bad part of interleague play.
June 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) I wish they would go back to the Central vs Central type match ups. By and large they are way better than vs the teams outside of your region. That's what I wish too. I don't mind playing the Cubs or Reds one bit. And I miss playing the Brewers just like old times. I can see why they wanted to go out of the region so that the Giants and Dogders could play the Yankees, and other games like that. But still I just prefere the Central vs. Central also.

I dont know if our guys will try and just go for the homerun swing at every ab beacuse of the thin air and they havn't had experience at coors. the homerun swing is actually a bad idea at Coors, that outfield is so spacious that if you just go for the gaps the homeruns will come naturally there.

June 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) Garcia and Duke scare me at Coors. I second that.
June 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) Garcia and Duke scare me at Coors. they scare me anywhere
June 5, 200520 yr Freddy Garcia starting and Shingo will likely be used out of the bullpen. Get ready for the longball!
June 6, 200520 yr It is going to be pathetic watching Uribe and Cruddy swinging at everything a mile out of the strike zone. They need no incentive to pull for the fences, and this park will only make them do that more often. Pathetic ....really.

It's not like Crede gets on base anyways. He either hits a homer or does nothing. He may as well be swinging for the fences at Coors. Edited June 6, 200520 yr by Jabroni
June 6, 200520 yr Probably just as easy to homer at US Cellular than it is at Coors. I think the team will continue to play their game and receive good pitching. I hope that we win all three because I am driving to Denver just to see the Sox play. Only regret I have is that Frank will most likely just be a pinch hitter. I'll be fine with that too, if he puts one out.

June 6, 200520 yr Uribe has spent enough time in Colorado to not be tempted by it. He will just continue to be a free-swinger. Crede is in for his defense which was pretty average today. Any hits he gets are just a bonus.
June 6, 200520 yr Ugly ugly series forthcoming with our flyball pitchers in Coors. Also a burnt out pen and a generally tired team. Regardless, Colorado isn't good and 2 of 3 is a MUST
June 6, 200520 yr Colorado is respectable at home. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost 2 the way we play on the road.

June 6, 200520 yr QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) Long Ball Freddy+Coors= what do you think? Road Ace Freddy = 3 runs MAX, don't care where the game is, as long as it's not at Comiskey. Edited June 6, 200520 yr by Dam8610
