Timo got that hit because the hit & run worked. 2nd baseman was moving towards the bag, opened that hole up. Otherwise it was a weak grounder. (smart baseball btw).

 

Although, I will give him credit for at least hitting the ball fair. That's better than the other 3 guys could do.

I'd say its because half of the Padres team is made up of lefties.

 

I would rather have Cotts in to face Klesko than Politte. Klesko finally has figured out how to get the ball out of Petco.

I agree but there are back to back lefties in a few spots (Klesko and Giles) and Cotts could have been good there but I was wrong on Timo and will hopefully be wrong again.
