Original Soundtrack: Ghostbusters II

Hey! I still like that album, even if it ushered in the bad jam band era.  Very tasty double stop guitar riffs throughout, and I thought the vocalist was quite good – like a non-threatening, ugly albino version of Chris Robinson.

Jim, let that be the last time you compare that garbage to the Crowes or Chris Robinson. :chair

Oh yeah?  Well I went to that concert at the World Amphitheater. Whatever that band was (Soul Train, Soul Sneeze?) that sang "Runaway Train" opened up for them, and the Screamin Trees kicked the whole thing off. Big waste of time.

I WAS THERE TOO!

Soul Asylum, lol.

I'll not speak of it again. :)

Edit: It's gotta count for something that the Spin Doctors did a guest appearance on Sesame Street, right? Right? Anybody...?

My best friends dad sat down in the middle of the concert and read a newspaper throughout the show. It is safe to say the energy wasnt at an all time high at that show.

first CD ever was.....

the batman returns soundtrack, with that seal song on it.

I still think the U2 song on that album is awesome.

I received the Mariah Carey christmas album from my parents for some odd, godforsaken reason when I was like 12.

Please hand me my trophy!!

C'mon, no one OWNS that, I want proof :P

Luckily my wife and I keep our music collections seperate or else I could list pages of embarassing tapes and cds that I "own".

Vanilla Ice, New Kids, Boys 2 Men, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Criss Cross... :puke

I made the mistake of joining a music club when I was younger and was pretty much forced to buy a handful of CD's that I didn't really want.

The only reason I joined the club was so I could get Garage Days Re-revisited by Metallica. :headbang

I would have to say the most embarassing tape that I own would be one that I got when I was about 12 or 13 and before I was really "into" music. It was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie soundtrack that I got free from Pizza Hut.

The first CD that I ever owned was Megadeath. I bit of a change... :D

I used to have most of the hair bands CD/tapes.

Firehouse, Slaughter, Poison, Tesla, Queensryche. To name a few. :puke

Luckily, I was able to return all of them to the record store amid embarrassment.

Also, my wife was in love with one of the guys from Color Me Badd. (I Wanna Sex You Up). So she had their tape.

Still tease her about it to this day.

You must be kidding! TESLA rocks!

I think my most embarrassing music has to be Kingdom Come. I heard them at the Monsters of Rock concert and HAD to have their CD. Other than that band, the concert rocked! :headbang

When I was in 6th grade, I had the Motley Crue album with "Dr. Feelgood". I also had a Motley Crue T-Shirt, purchased on the strength of that one song, "Dr. Feelgood".

I also had the Vanilla Ice album, but I'll take that over Motley Crue 365 days a year.

The late 80s...what a terrible era for rock music. I mean, you had to be a major dork if you were listening to stuff like Poison, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, etc.

Anyone remember the radio station The Blaze? That station ruled!! :headbang
