White Sox vs Dodgers 6/19/05 Game Thread

Featured Replies

For some reason it just feels like we're the worst 45-22 team in the history of baseball.

Trying for the sweep and on national television we definately are.

I think I will turn this game off with disgust just like last night and check back near the end. It brought good luck last time so I might as well try again.

Whoa, I wouldn't say that. Expect a lot of people to jump all over that comment.

It's not even that. Elmer Dessens and Jeff Weaver have combined for 11 IP while only giving up 5 H and 1R. And we needed a miracle comeback just to win a game against what right now is a horrible Dodgers team.

Maybe because our players try to swing for the fences even more during these nationally broadcasted game?  Just my theory.

Uribe was swinging for the fences on 2 strikes with men on. Just make contact.

Nice Manuel Lineup tonight. Instead of sitting hitters and players that kinda have been stinking, yet sit players who have been hitting great.

that makes absolutely no sense :huh

Good inning Jose, not your fault you're in line for the L

Is Wayne Gretzky a Sox fan?

If so, that's pretty cool...

See that? Contreras gets the first guy out, and the rest of the inning is money. That's how it works with him.

And our offense doesn't suck even though the stats say it does...

:rolly

looks like most of the teams winning their division cant hit, with the exception of the orioles

Well you could sort by the only offensive stat that wins you games and that shows us in the upper 3rd.

Look at our team AVG and OBP. They are pathetic.

f*** You ESPN.... Can't you just leave us alone. Why do you have to televise our games losses?

Maybe we can go through a list of teams that were 45-22 at this point in the season. I bet I wouldn't put the Sox past many of them.

Would you ask a pig to moo? Uribe would swing hard if his mother was tied to the railroad tracks by a guy w/ a handlebar moustache. He doesn't know any other way.

So what?

Apparently were doing something right to be 9th in the league.. the BA and OBP dont match up with our run production.. but were still scoring when it counts

Pods gets on base, thank god.

Oh man, I hope this is the start of a big inning.

Come on, Harris. Break out of the slump, right here.

Nice play by JD Drew, too...

steal pods

Let's see if Willie can hit the ball out of the infield.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 08:48 PM)
steal pods

There's really no reason to steal when we're down by 3. We need baserunners.
