June 21, 200520 yr That's not good at all. Hopefully he'll be alright, I assume until Juan's fully healthy pablo will get some ab's that he sorely deserves.
June 21, 200520 yr What's your source on this? Did anyone else see/hear it if it was TV or Radio? Link? Any idea how bad it is? DETAILS PLEASE!!!
June 21, 200520 yr ESPN 1000 just said that Ozuna is starting at SS again tonight because Uribe has a strained back.
June 21, 200520 yr The scary part is...this leaves us with 1 backup shortstop...Willie Harris. Hopefully it won't come to that again.
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) The scary part is...this leaves us with 1 backup shortstop...Willie Harris. Hopefully it won't come to that again. let's not forget Dye and Crede
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) let's not forget Dye and Crede Exactly my point. (should that have been in green?)
June 21, 200520 yr Just like 3E8 said, it has to be because of his swing. He is such a free swinger that he nearly falls over after some swings.
June 21, 200520 yr Well, this will be Pablo's true test at SS with a groundball pitcher like Garland on the mound. I don't mind his bat and speed in the lineup over Uribe's though.
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) Uribe being overweight this season can't help his back at all. Well it didn't effect him last year.
June 21, 200520 yr i actually dont mind this, yes his defense is awesome but he was as bad as crede or worse offensively.
June 21, 200520 yr well this sucks, but uribe wasnt hitting well, plus ozuna hustles his ass off and deserves it
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) Well it didn't effect him last year. Uribe is definitely heavier this season than last year.
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) let's not forget Dye and Crede ...And Politte.
June 21, 200520 yr Uribe is definitely heavier this season than last year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why do you say that? He looks the same to me. He has a gut that won't let his jersey stay tucked in. Edited June 21, 200520 yr by Jabroni
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) Why do you say that? He looks the same to me. He has a gut that won't let his jersey stay tucked in. I can't tell if that was sarcasm or not. They showed Uribe on the bench last night, and he looked enormous. Uribe also seems a step slower on the bases this year compared to last year (as does Rowand).
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) ...And Politte. Politte can do anything. A true athlete. He is Mr. Baseball. Edited June 21, 200520 yr by Kalapse
June 21, 200520 yr Juan is good, but Pablo has been much better this year and he is better at starting up our offense than Juan. Hope he gets better, but I am happy to see Pablo starting.
June 21, 200520 yr QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) Prolly hurt his back swingin around that big ole ass of his perhaps he was carrying groceries up flights of stairs
