Buerhle sets the table for the other starters and he has been of some help to Garland for his success. His numbers are remarkable and is always reliable to give our bullpen a breather.

Timo, he has come through in the clutch all year for us.

I said AJ simply because even moreso than Mark, I feel he is the trendsetter. Mark has been here for awhile Garland and the other pitchers we had didn't pitch this good. AJ is a great game caller and knows exactly how to handle a pitching staff.

Go with the guy with more wins than a 300 game winner (Maddux) at similar points in their respective careers. That of course would be the ace of the staff and hopefully starter of the all-star game, Mark Buehrle.

IMO, the only player that an argument can be made for other than Buehrle is A.J. The staff has improved by leaps and bounds this year, and the fact that almost every pitcher on the staff seems to be better this year than last year reflects on the effect that A.J. has had on them. I think Garland isn't a 12 game winner and Freddy has a much higher ERA if A.J. isn't here.

Honestly, we have no one SUPER STAR, if anything we have bunch of well above average, very solid players but the best thing for this team is the attitude they have taken on from our manager, Ozzie Guillen. He has lite some kind of fire under every players ass...

Oh no you didnt................... For the record I wasn't ribbing on you about bajillion it was just an honest question

I picked Mark too, like nearly everyone else. You just feel like it's a win already when he goes out there.

I voted Buehrle cause he's the man, but I almost voted Gralnd if for no other reason than MB does this every year. We are used to his consistency. Garland is the guy we needed to step up to be successful and he did.

 

I still had to go with Buehrle becuase I think he is a big reason, along with AJ, for Garlands success.

Buehrle. He keeps us in just about every game that he pitches. He should have about 13 wins.
