GAME THREAD 7-8-2005 SOX vs A's

Featured Replies

Does this game have a weird vibe to it? It seems like everyone on the field is in slow motion, as well as the pitches and the swing of the hitters? And no, that's not a negative comment!

maybe you have a bad tv reception

If only we had that Kendall shift that we had on last series, that would have been a routine DP!

was I the only one that heard Hawk say "God damn it" after Swisher's double? or was it "dag-nab-it"?

omg, come on, are we going to give this game up in the third inning, get kotsay out NOW!!!!

Oakland owns us. Not a lot more you can say.

what the hell was with that shift anyway? Kendall's all about placing his grounders/line-drives. I have to say I saw that hit he had in the last series coming.

Their hitters always make our pitchers work, and they don't often swing for the fences. Rather, they piece together a lot of hits/walks in an inning, and that seems to cause our pitchers a lot of trouble.

well, it's only 1-0, they haven't swept us yet.

alright finally two outs now lets get out of this inning

Timo is all about being as non-fundamental as possible. You would think that Ozzie would hate him for that

LOL. Poor Timo.

Why is Hawk laughing about TIMO's terrible defense?

I don't know what it is. Things always seem so strange whenever we play Oakland.

It may look unconventional, and not be spectacular, but Timo usually makes all the plays he's supposed to make.

If your just tuning in, it is because he is boring!

If the outside part of the plate was actually called, Jon would be owning this game.

BTW, not sure if this was mentioned, but on the pregame show, Ozzie said that he was excited with how Dye played 1b the other night because now he has a back-up 1b for the rest of the season. Did Gload get caught sleeping with Ozzie's wife or something?

oh just wonderful lets just add to their lead, god damnit 2-0 As

Crosby doubles down the RF line. 2-0 Sox, 2nd and 3rd. Nice hit.

Crosby looks like a superstar. Chavez is a huge out in this game here.
