Favorite Throwback

I wanna know the game that you just get the sudden urge to play. I'm not gonna go back as far as Atari and Nintendo and Sega but only Nintendo 64 and Playstation. To me, for some strange reason, I love going back and playing NHL Faceoff 2001 and Twisted Metal 4 for Playstation. It is nice to just go back once in a while and re-live what you once thaought were the realest graphics ever. So much fun...how about you!?!?

Dude, how can you NOT include the real old systems when talking about "Throwback" video games.

My favs, in no particular order.

Operation Wolf ( Arcade )

Double Dragon ( Arcade / Nintendo )

Metal Gear Solid (PS1)

RBI Baseball ( Nintendo )

all the original Sonic games for Sega Genesis... as well as the Mega Man games for NES and Mega Man X for SNES

Sorry but I was overwhelmed by PS1 throwback fever. I did love playing Sonic for Sega Genesis and all Mario games on Super Nintedo.

Ken Griffey Jr. baseball on Super Nintendo was awesome. Everytime I go by my grandma's house I still play that game a lot.

F thompson was my favorite player on that game

Bad News Baseball for Nintendo and I loved Madden 92 and 93 when you injured a quarterback, the ambulance would come out and hit players in the way. That was great fun.

World Series Baseball 95 and Madden 95 for Sega

Duck Hunt on NES. Good times.

I am sorry, but to go truely old school, I need to go back to Nintendo and SNES.

My favorite by FAR was Mario Cart. My cousin and I would play that for HOURS against each other.

Did you ever cheat and hold the gun up against the screen?

Metal Gear (PS1)

Punch Out (NES)

And I've been playing a whole lot of Medal of Honor: Frontline for some reason.

I had a demo for Metal Gear Solid that I played all the time. I eventually bought the real game and got rid of it.

FF7 and 9.

MGS 1.

I'd say I end up playing each once through every 2 years.

To be truly old school in my book, you need to include Atari, Activision, Intellivision and Collecovision.

The original Pitfall! was wild!

"Swing over them crocodiles mate!"

I guess I am really old school because I can actually remember Pong!

The two arcade video games that come to mind when I think back are Galaga and Robotron. A buddy and I alternated and played Robotron for 13 straight hours (one game) one night before the manager made us stop playing so she could close up. We could have played all night on that same quarter!

Let's not forget Centipede, Donkey Kong and Frogger too!

Mike Tysons Punch out. super Mario brothers ...For 64 Madden 64...bettis was a beast and Super smash brothers, also TMNT for Sega
