The lastest from John Marzano is the following as heard on Comcast Sportsnet in Philly:

Sox: Wagner

Phils: BMac and Marte

Don't shoot the messenger....

Care to explain a little man. Just speculation, could be done, what?

keep an eye on the bullpen in the game, if Marte is shaking hands and walking out, that's a sign of something!! It usually happens 1-2 times a year during the trade deadline, Farmer and Rooney just guessed Bigbie got traded since he got pulled, but he might be hurt too

Don't get my hopes up. Phillies game is over, tho, they played at  Colorado this afternoon.

They replayed the comments on Comcast Sportsnet Philly tonight...

John Marzano has been reporting the Sox-Phils trade for a few days now so I hope he isn't just repeating old news...

The only numbers that mean anything to me about Wagner this year is 98-99, which he's still lighting up the gun with.

Ick.

I hate deadline deals for relief pitchers. They could really come back to bite you in the rear-end, especially if you're giving up a future position player/starting pitcher.

Marte and McCarthy for Wagner? Sheesh... that's a tough call.

An unreliable reliever and a prospect for a top 5 closer in baseball? That's not so tough.

As much as I love Brandon, this is a deal I'd do in a heartbeat.
