Tons of stuff going on... House closing maybe in a week, working tons of OT at work to cover other people, baby stuff happening... But in a relatively good mood all things considered.

Just found out that Jim's Aunt has pancreatic cancer that has spread to her liver and lymph nodes. Not a good day...

Pretty good, I managed to get a good parking space by my office on move-in day (which should have been one of Hercules' labors). Although, I did just spill tea all down my front before our department lunch--but I don't really care, I have enough friends.

 

My office is also clean and all of my books/articles are organized. And I get to hang out in the sound proof booth later today too.

Same ol s*** different day....I'm bored as all get out.

I went with a 4...the Sox mad me happy today...bad mood yesterday.

All the days kinda just flood one into another. Its back to the tedium of my minor coursework for another semester. I don't like the profs for it so it should be an interesting 15 weeks.

Came into work energized and in a great mood yesterday, then someone here pissed me all the fkn way off. Been pissed ever since.

It looks like i will lose most of my day battoning down the hatches at work for the pending arrival of Katrina. Since I have no faith in the roof on my building since last year's storms (and we are still fighting with the insurers and FEMA over the settlement amount), I think that putting visqueen over all the equipment is likely a waste of time if the roof gives.

 

Oh, yeah, the head of the institution just sent an email and said we're on the clock during the storm tomorrow – unless we want to use paid time off and eat a vacation day.

 

I think I need to have myself a convenient storm-related accident tomorrow and get hooked up with some sweet workman's comp and maybe some settlement money.

Dislocated knee-cap...no soccer....no baseball....super bummed.

I'm sitting here waiting 2 hours for a guy at work to make a pick in fantasy football. Plus, I've got a turtle sniffing cotton, but am too lazy to get up and do anything about it. Life's good.
