Remember, it's a hell of a lot easier to trade a player with one year left on his contract.  I'll say this:  in a way, I'm happy that Gload isn't putting up a season this year like he did last year.  I would never want the Sox to even consider him for the starting 1b position to start the season.

I am still bewildered as to why Timo is here...and leading off?!?! WTF is wrong with that picture?? He is the worst leadoff hitter in baseball....by a mile.

Iguchi is so much better at the plate when he just tries to drive the ball, instead of trying to move up runners. I could care less if he doesn't try to get the runner over the rest of the year. All that results in is worse hitting counts and potential Ks.

Yep, especially when our 3-4 hitters have struggled to get runners in for a few months with less than 2 outs and someone on 3rd base.

wow folks, this is are first solid ball game (so far at least) in like, the last 2 weeks. we are getting hit after hit after hit, and not scoring just by the long ball. granted these pitchers arent terrific, but we werent scoring at all against ANYBODY. this looks very good, this could be the beginnings of a nice winning streak, especially with jon going tomorrow.
