Have you seen his pitch count?

Yes, and I know he usually struggles late in the game as batters see more of his stuff. Maybe it's just me, but I have more confidence in Cotts starting the 8th than I do Contreras in regards to putting up a scoreless inning.

Exactly. He gave up a soft ball to SS, a HR, and a ball to SS that should have been an out. Gotta stay in.

bring JC out on a short leash, any base runner, he's gone

BTW, the Red Sox have now scored at least 7 runs in their last 14 home games.

PULL HIM OZZIE!

6-3

This game has gotten a little too close for comfort.

...well, at least he's going after hitters. That's his 3rd start in a row without giving up a walk.

Great job Jose!!!!!!

Yeah, it wasn't bad considering Monroe had looked bad against him. Ozzie should remember this for future games though.

Oz has had Contreras on the shortest leash of all five starters this season.

As well he should be.

Actually though, I would say that Garland is. Garcia's leash is bigger than Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Good job Cliff!

Okay Uribe has hit the ball down the right field line twice tonight for doubles.

If he starts doing that, holy s***.

I love his new little leg kick. He's definitely staying back on the ball better.

Lets get one of these runs in, and let Hermanson rest another day.

GOOD GAME WILLIE!!

Great job Iguchi!!! Man, it's nice to see a nice little swing like that instead of swinging for the fences.

Beautiful

I was serious. 2 hits, and some very good defense.
