September 4, 200520 yr Last nite at the ballpark, the advance ticket window had tentative 2006 White Sox home-only schedules. Interleague play features the NL Central next year, and in addition to the Cubs the Sox will get St. Louis and Houston at U.S. Cellular Field. Get your road trips ready to visit Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, I can't wait, both are great towns. BTW ... Cubs at U.S. Cellular May 19-21. St. Louis here on Tues. 6/20, Wed. 6/21, and TH 6/22. Houston comes in the next three days, F 6/23, Sat. 6/24 and Sun. 6/25. Yankees come in on a Tuesday thru Thursday, 8/8 to 8/10. Red Sox on 7/7 to 7/9, that's a weekend. September 4, 200520 yr What about Milwaukee? I would rather them travel to Milwaukee than Pittsburgh since it is closer, I think that Cardinals series will be a blast I am going to try to go to one of them.
September 5, 200520 yr The variety is cool, but some reason I miss when we soley played the NLC in interleague games. I like the regional matchups. I'm looking forward to these.
September 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) thanks for the info jim. sox - cardinals @ home will be a must go to game. One can only hope its a rematch of the 2005 World Series.
September 5, 200520 yr Every review Ive ever heard of Pittsburgh was rather unflattering. Youre the first Ive met to actually have liked that place. Which is it, s***hole or shan gri la?

September 5, 200520 yr thats sux with no milwaukee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, did not say there was no Milwaukee. I just speculated on Pittsburgh or Cincy, probably should have said "or" instead of "and". It will be at least one of those three, likely two.

Which is it, s***hole or shan gri la? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If the Sox play there I'll provide in depth analysis. Seriously, it's like any other city ... neither s***hole nor shangri la. As with most cities, and situations, it's generally what you make of it. A little upfront research and going to the local places makes all the difference in the world. I personally love Pittsburgh, have not seen the ballpark yet but would echo what Kalapse said because it looks great on tv plus I've heard rave reviews from those who've been there.

September 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) BTW Opening Day is listed as Mon. 4/3 vs. Cleveland. vs. interesting. I like another home opener.

It's another one of those steel towns thats been on the decline...
September 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) vs. interesting. I like another home opener. Maybe this is the start of 13 consecutive home openers.
September 5, 200520 yr If you've ever been to Gary, Indiana you should have some idea what Pittsburgh is like... It's another one of those steel towns thats been on the decline... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok, then, screw any consideration of ever visiting the Pitt. Ewww. :puke
September 5, 200520 yr Ok, then, screw any consideration of ever visiting the Pitt. Ewww. :puke <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jeckle is way off. WAY off. Don't base your opinion on that. Pittsburgh has been up and coming for the past 15 years, it is a vibrant small city with all sorts of great things happening. To compare it to Gary Indiana ... couldn't be more wrong.
September 5, 200520 yr Cincy is so close for me I'll make plans to be at all 3 games. Also will have to be at the Cardinals games at home.
September 5, 200520 yr For the record, PNC park is awesome. I wasn't in the city that long, but it seemed alright to me.
September 6, 200520 yr It's about time that the AL Central plays the NL Central. I really hope we get to play Milwaukee too. I miss them in our division.
