You cant send Marte home. Its stupid for many reasons. As much as I hate Marty Party, when Damaso actually throws freely and hits his 94-95 mph he is as nasty as possible. He has the talent there is no question. He just needs to get his head on straight. I will say it again, he hasnt been the same since he broke Chavez's hand. He used to be deadly to lefties. Hopefully he will get his head out of his ass and help this team. I think in the offseason he will be gone, but as part of a deal that will get something of value back. I think he can be a value as a trading piece. Why would we completely blow his value ahead of time. He and Ozzie will kiss and makeup. Just like Gardenhire and Lohse did when Lohse broke Gardy's door and f***ed up his own hand.

Yeah, don't use him the rest of the season, then put him on the playoff roster in the biggest games of the year.

This is a leadership issue not a public hanging. I think that Ozzie is right in doing what he is doing. I believe in past years we have had similar situations where nothing at all happened. Marte will get the message and if he is in fact abig leaguer and a team player he will show his remorse by pitching as good as he can. Public humiliation, overreacting, going overborad, etc, is not going to help Marte or the team.
