To paraphrase Wanne:

Today's the day....I've heard for the last 3 years what a lights out, big-game pitcher this guy is...well Mark...it's put up or STFU day for you. If Mark lays a f***in egg today....I'd seriously think about including him in some sort of package in the off season.

It worked yesterday.

I'll play along:

Are you serious? Why would we even consider trading him? So we can have El Duque start in his place next year? He brought his game against Westbrook in Chicago but made a few small errors. Seems like every game is a "big game" for a pitcher.. Every game counts, geez..

We found out if Mark was a big game pitcher his last time out.

And since the All-Star break. It's clear he isn't a big game pitcher. (playing along, or am I?)

Playing along also...

1 game does not a big game pitcher make.

But a direct correlation of losing in big games does.

to answer your question:

YES

This game answers nothing. Nice performance by Mark, though.

His career tells me he's a good pitcher. Nuff said.

I like the guy. He gets the "Rex Kickass seal of approval."

Rex Kickass seal of approval ™! Me likely.

Pitched well. But he sould have over 20 wins already. Ohh well maybe next year

what cost him was that streak of 4 consecutive games in which he pitched his ass off in but got no decisions in all of them. Let's review them:

At Angels: Pitched great but so did Colon so not much you can do about it.

vs. Angels: Pitched into the ninth but Ozzie cost him a victory by pussyfooting around and putting in Marte and Marte blew it.

vs. Indians: Pitched well but got no decision

At Padres: Pitched a Gem but Hermy blew the game. Had Ozzie pinch run for Konerko in the ninth he might of won that game.

If he can keep from telegraphing his changeup, he will be a good pitcher in the playoffs.

Its just like anything on here... The negative people find an excuse to discount Buehrle's prefomance, and the positive ones grasp to anything.
