If anything, I'd like to see him get right up on the plate. It will make him shorten his swing, which last season was as compact as any you would ever see, and would give him a better chance when he fishes for those sliders a foot off the plate.

He has to learn to layoff that pitch. If not, then he should be a 4th outfielder.
