we didn't play an awful game, but it definitely wasn't anywhere near good.

Props to penn state for a gutsy performance.

I was expecting a loss like this somewhere along the road, just not at home..........and not to penn state.

I said we would be around a 3-4 seed this season and sticking to it.

Oh yeah, and krush told me to post a few obscenities for you

#($*@%()@$#)(*%@f***#)(@#$$#09

thanks to everyone who rushed the court on a loss I think this sets a new low

Bill Self would have never lost to Penn State at home. Feels good to be the one on the non negative side for once.

The only time in recent memory that KU fans have acted this badly was in 2003, when a handful of students rushed the court at Allen Fieldhouse following a victory against Texas. Even then, about 16,000 fans stayed in their seats and booed those foolish enough to run onto the court.

You do know that Kansas will likely lose again....right?

you've been waiting to get all of this out for a long time haven't you?

There were probably about 50 fans who jumped on the court, took 20 seats and then got their s*** booed. My roomate was on of them, i did not talkk to him for a week.

Of course there were 7 football field rushings this year, KU did that 3 times.

haha at least 2 years. Now, kharma says KU will lose to OU.

All the Illini fans were ripping the Iowa fans for storming the court after they beat the Illini. How do they explain storming the court after a loss to lowly PSU?

Rich Mcbride hit a "game winning shot" well after the clock hit 0, either way you cant rush the court against a bottom of the barrel team.

Heh, I remember when Nebraska stormed the floor for a loss to ISU. It's not unique to the Illini.

I can't.

I never mentioned anything about other school's storming the court, well because........there are dumbass kids at every school. I've been in the krush the past 2 years and know there are more than plenty of kids that are just there because it's "the cool thing to do".

Maybe not, and College sports is all about the emotion. I just never understood the contempt for Iowa students celebrating a victory, like if you went to Illinois you would never do that. They do it, and take it a step further.

I'll say this........nothing hurt more than our loss to OSU last year.

Being 4 seconds away from an undefeated season, then having it snatched away and kids rushing the court in front of you.......hurts, a lot.

Yeah that little national championship thing did not hurt??

honestly, not as much.

There was something about that loss that was a little easier to take.

For one, we lost to an almost unbeatable team that day. I thought we played fairly well, they were just that much better that night. The loss to OSU shouldn't have happened.

Maybe it's because i wasn't there, maybe it's because i didn't have a 5 hour ride to think about it on the way home, but it didn't hurt as much.

I don't either. We stormed the field twice this year, once for beating Iowa....that day was all about emotion. Beat the #8 team, biggest rival.....the other time was just a strange day....we beat Colorado who was ranked and was almost unbeatable for ISU.....the game was delayed as a tornado hit.....the weather was crazy....and it was senior night.

You're right....all about the emotion.

Couple comments on today...

I was at the MSU-NU game, and despite the somewhat close score, I was very impressed with MSU. They are extremely athletic, and the Ager/Brown/Davis trio is really hard to stop. Even the role guys like Gray and Trannon were making some big plays. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how NU hung around. They seem to be playing a lot better than they were early in the year.

I was very surprised by the Iowa-Michigan result for several reasons. First, I didn't think there was any way Iowa would put up that many points. Obviously they shot a ridiculous percentage inside and outside. Looking at the box score it doesn't seem that Michigan was that bad, they just ran into a really good night in Iowa. The Hawkeyes really got a leg up in the Big Ten race today, but they still got some big games against MSU and at Champaign.

Another team that I didn't think played that poorly was Illinois. Their offense was pretty good tonight, although they were relying very heavily on the outside shot like they usually do. They didn't shoot all that well from outside to go with their numerous attempts. Penn State just played a pretty good game offensively, and they shot well from outside. One major plus for them is that McBride seems to be stepping up as a major offensive threat.

Not to say PSU is good, but they've given good teams tough times as of late. They lost to Iowa by 4, to OSU only by 11 (was close throughout the first half, within 10 throughout the second), played a tight game against MSU (lost by 9 in the end, but did lead with less than 6 minutes left), and gave Michigan a run for its money (lost by 6, had a strong ending). I wouldn't exactly call them lowly, although they definitely aren't good.

Don't look now, but Purdue beat Wiscy.

No one noticed.
