The way Mark Buehrle battles?

Gutsy effort on a night the Stros had their bats wailing.

It's sure nice to have a young veteran like Mark B. out there.

I'm not going to sugar coat this. MB looked not so good tonight. But he battled, and this team battles their asses off. I've never seen anything like it.

Yeah.

He's smiling in my avatar because he got bailed out tonight.

Yeah, it wasn't his greatest outing but 4 ER through 7 innings in the World Series is far from a poor effort. He didn't throw inside on the Astros enough but the Astros also had the scouting report on Buehrle. Buehrle will often just groove in first-pitch strikes to get ahead in the count. The Astros knew this so they came out swinging.

Good point, Count had the same outing.

Battled!

Love em both; Mark B and Count.

Fair enough.

It wasn't a great performance, but it got the job done. I'm starting to think though, that if the starters can at least make a game of it, the bullpen and bats will come through enough as well.

Sorry, but what I mostly see from Mark lately is him giving up a lead over and over again. We caught two huge breaks tonight, the Biggio error and the Dye HBP. If those go the right way, we'd be talking about how bad Mark looked.

All the love goes to our offense tonight.

Probably. Hopefully, they will finish this up quickly in Houston so Buehrle won't even have to pitch again.

This is what good teams do.

Mark did a decent job tonight, all things considered.

Weather will not be a factor the next three (two???) games.

This whole team battles...when one has a bad night...another picks them up. It's somebody different almost every night. GOD I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!
