October 24, 200520 yr I wasn't about to buy a full-season just for the world series, as much as I would have liked to. But, I did get permission from my wife today to buy the double play package for next season!!! So, I will be dealing with that tomorrow!!! It was my reward for not paying some scalper an insane amount of money.

October 24, 200520 yr The double play package is all of the saturday/sunday games, plus 1 game from the opening series. Its 27 games in total. On empty nights last year, I used to go way up above the posts to sneak a smoke and I really did feel the vertigo. I sat up there all game during the ALCS and didn't feel it at all, it felt like being in a balcony at a movie house. [End seriousness] We now return to normal programming.

October 25, 200520 yr Reinsdorf was on Norths show this morning. He said the season ticket base this year was around 11k. That he believes it will be around 15k for next year. In 83 we had like 8k, and it had a high in the early 90's of more than 18k.

October 25, 200520 yr I still haven't ordered season tix...since a) they have been easy to get and B) I have a ticket connection that gets me great seats whenever I want. I'd love to get an 81 game package...and go to like 30...but I'd want to split it with someone and I haven't found the right people. So I'll just keep doing what I'm doing...and I'll still get playoff tix. Yeah.
